Solana (SOL) has a bright future ahead.
In 2026, Solana is proving its long-term value as core infrastructure for the “blockchain internet” to the market through undeniable technical strength and ecosystem expansion.
On the technology front, Solana is seeing milestone breakthroughs. On August 21, the Agave v4.2 upgrade shortened block time slots from 400ms to 350ms, and the testnet has achieved 182ms. With the upcoming Alpenglow consensus rewrite, final transaction confirmation time will be compressed to around 150ms. The Firedancer client has already covered over 20% of validator nodes, and under lab conditions achieved one million transactions per second, completely eliminating single-point-of-failure risks. Meta AI predicts SOL could reach $180–$250 by year-end.
On the ecosystem side, real-world assets (RWA) have become the core growth engine. In May, the total value of RWA surpassed $2.8 billion, a new all-time high. Institutional adoption is accelerating. Morgan Stanley filed for a Solana spot ETF at the lowest fee rate of 0.14%, can stake up to 100% of SOL, and returns 95% of staking rewards to shareholders. Goldman Sachs disclosed it holds $108 million worth of SOL, while BlackRock’s BUIDL fund has cleared $550 million on-chain. Assets under management for spot Solana ETFs have already surpassed $1 billion.
