Media report: On August 27, Binance founder CZ Zhao Changpeng said at the Bitcoin Asia 2026 conference that the diversification of the crypto ecosystem would not weaken Bitcoin. Instead, the growth of blockchains such as Ethereum and BNB Chain would help the entire industry expand. Bitcoin can also absorb the innovation achievements from other blockchain networks.

Zhao Changpeng believes that Bitcoin remains the most decentralized reserve asset in the crypto market, and its importance in the future may surpass gold. At present, Bitcoin’s market value still lags gold by about 10 times, but this gap could narrow further in future bull markets. He also said that Bitcoin reaching $1 million “does not need 25 years.” Zhao Changpeng noted that Bitcoin’s next phase still needs to expand real-world applications, including driving large-scale payments and entering long-term reserve asset allocations such as retirement pensions. As global crypto compliance continues to advance—countries establishing crypto-asset reserves, issuing their own stablecoins, and the development of RWA tokenization—the crypto market could ultimately expand further and, in turn, benefit Bitcoin. #Bitcoin Breaks Through $80,000, Hitting a Three-Month High$BTC
