On August 30, analyst Rekt Fencer published a BTC vs. Nasdaq 3-day chart ratio, marking three notable drawdowns: approximately -84.9% in 2018, about -80.7% in 2022, and currently around -54.3% in 2026. Rekt Fencer said that after the first two times Bitcoin fell behind the Nasdaq by such a large margin, it was followed by a very strong independent uptrend, and the price was then sharply driven upward in a straight surge. Now the ratio has dropped significantly again; history may repeat for the third time. The bottom is already near, and next BTC will strengthen again.
On Monday the market opened, and BTC hovered around 79,000—neither up nor down, pretty annoying.
Over the weekend, there really wasn’t much new news. Everything that needed to be digested had mostly been digested. The market right now is basically a textbook range-bound setup: both longs and shorts are waiting, and neither side is willing to make the first move.
This week, there are a few key levels I’m watching closely. Resistance at 81,000 is a hurdle. If it breaks through, there’s a good chance it will test 83,000 or even set new highs. Support at 74,000 is the bottom—if that level breaks, this bounce may be in doubt.
The few-thousand-point range in between isn’t huge, but it’s not small either. Trading the swings could easily get you “hit on both ends,” while going long-term doesn’t really feel like it has much momentum.
A lot of people ask me how to trade this week. My own plan is: hold the spot position and don’t touch it; for futures, use a small position size and test lightly. Once the direction becomes clear, then add. No guessing the top, no catching the bottom—just follow the market.
After you’ve been trading for a long time, you’ll realize that most of the time the market is “waiting”—waiting for a piece of news, waiting for a breakout, waiting for a batch of people to get impatient and rush in, or to get scared and cut losses. The more urgent you are, the more likely you are to make mistakes while the market is “waiting.”
So this week, patience matters more than anything.

Today ETH is leading the decline: BTC: Can’t hold above 78,400—short. If the body breaks 76,000, the selloff accelerates. Targets: 74,500 / 73,800 / 72,200. ETH: Can’t hold above 2,467—short. If the body breaks 2,326, the selloff accelerates. Targets: 2,385 / 2,336 / 2,283 / 2,226.
The position of “Big Brother A” has shrunk again—its capital has fallen from $11.15 million to $8.8 million.
According to on-chain analyst Yu Jin, monitoring $BTC and $ETH , the prices have been consolidating in the high range over the past few days. As a result, Big Brother A’s capital dropped from $11.15 million to $8.8 million. Yu Jin said the capital decline came from frequent stop-losses and de-risking during periods of slight price dips.
In terms of position details: Big Brother A currently holds a $114 million long position, of which $100 million is in ETH. The ETH long entry price is $2,463, and the liquidation price is $2,307. Compared with the previously mentioned data (entry price of $2,357 and liquidation price of $2,189.8), both the entry and liquidation prices have been raised this time by a step—indicating this is a newly added position, not a continuation of the prior one.
This fits with the further elaboration of the previously mentioned “partially closing the ETH longs, with losses of about $1.96 million.” The account’s total capital has shrunk from $11.15 million to $8.8 million, with cumulative losses exceeding $2 million—basically matching the earlier stop-loss data. Frequent stop-loss de-risking suggests that the past few days of choppy market conditions have indeed been unfriendly to leveraged longs. Even the largest on-chain long account has been experiencing a real drawdown.
With the liquidation price at $2,307, it’s worth keeping a close eye on what happens next.
