Ledger has revealed a vulnerability in the Ethereum app. During a swap, the device could sign an agreement for later token retrieval instead of a regular transfer.
This is not a seed leak or a “Ledger break”, but Ethereum apps are affected from version 1.20.0 to 1.22.2.
✅ WHAT TO DO NOW?
1️⃣ Open Ledger Wallet on your computer
2️⃣ Click “Update now”
3️⃣ Connect and unlock your Ledger
4️⃣ Update the device system
5️⃣ In My Ledger, update the Ethereum app
6️⃣ Check whether you have version 1.22.3 or newer
⚠️ Updating the software or firmware alone is not enough. You must also update the ETH app on the device.
Do not reset your wallet and do not enter your seed anywhere. Ledger has no evidence that the vulnerability was exploited against users.
