📚 Lesson 6 of 10
❓ How do trading platforms work? And how do you choose a safe one?
A platform is an online marketplace that brings together whoever wants to sell and whoever wants to buy: you place your order (price and quantity) and the platform matches it with the other party and executes the trade. This is the easiest gateway into the market.
How do you choose? The criteria:
· Size and reputation: big global platforms are harder to disappear suddenly
· Regulation and licenses: subject to oversight bodies in reputable countries
· Proof of reserves: they publish evidence that customers’ assets actually exist
· Security track record: have they been hacked before? Did they compensate their clients then?
After you choose, secure your account:
· Enable two-factor verification through an authentication app (not SMS)
· A strong password that isn’t used anywhere else
· For large amounts you’re not trading—keep them in your own wallet, not on the platform (remember yesterday’s lesson?)
A trading platform is an excellent execution tool—just not a savings vault.
📌 Summary: A platform is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers—choose the large, regulated ones that prove their reserves, and secure your account with two layers.
