STA Pharmaceutical Hong Kong, a shareholder of WuXi XDC (2268), placed 53.5 million shares of the company through Morgan Stanley at HK$73.23 each, according to Ming Pao.

The placement price was about 5.2% below the previous close, and the expected proceeds are $500 million.
