The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration ๐บ๐ธ required inspections for certain Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft after an internal Boeing investigation detected clearances outside engineering specifications.
โ ๏ธ The issue is related to structural wing components. According to the FAA, those clearances could generate excessive forces and, over time, lead to fatigue cracks around fastener holes.
