I’ve repeatedly suffered harm in the dust of the world, yet I’m still trapped in delusion and hard to awaken.
Human affections—true or false—are hard to see clearly. Most people are dull and foolish; when things happen, they always act lightly in their hearts.
After several falls and collisions, I remain muddled and ignorant; the former track’s overturned lesson keeps happening again and again.
I do not know to guard against it—calamity gives birth to calamity. If I still forget the old pain, in the days to come I’ll face even greater shocks
