$BTC
$PI Network appeared in PayPal’s official documentation — but not in the way the hype was told.
developer.paypal.com updated, on 11/08/2026, the “Supported cryptocurrencies” table for the Pay with Crypto tool: almost 100 coins accepted as a payment method by merchants. “Pi Network — PI” is there, alongside Bitget Token and Ethena USDe.
But there’s a second, official PayPal list too, much smaller: the coins you can buy, sell, and hold within the app itself. There are only 7 (BTC, BCH, LINK, ETH, LTC, PYUSD, SOL) — and Pi isn’t on it.
In short: Pi’s name made it into the store checkout, not the customer’s wallet. Neither PayPal nor the Pi Core Team has confirmed any partnership yet — and, today, that doesn’t change anything for anyone who has Pi: you can’t spend Pi on PayPal, and the feature doesn’t work outside the U.S.
I lined up the two official lists side by side in a new video on the channel — search “Diovane Lopes” on YouTube to watch the full thing.
