#Dusk $BTR #dusk $TAC $DUSK @Dusk

i keep thinking the weird part of a Dusk trade is not even that Moonlight can make the DUSK payment public.

it’s that the payment can sit there completely visible while the thing i actually bought through XSC still refuses to become public with it.

and my brain keeps trying to make those two sides match.

because same trade, right?

Moonlight account moves public DUSK. the amount can be visible, the account state can be visible, nothing mysterious there.

then the security side moves into XSC and Zedger, and apparently that ownership state does not have to inherit whatever Moonlight already exposed.

which feels wrong for like five seconds.

if the payment side is already public, why doesn’t that visibility just drag the XSC ownership state public with it?

apparently seeing the DUSK leave Moonlight still doesn’t tell you the ownership state XSC and Zedger are keeping on the other side.

Zedger can keep that XSC ownership confidential, while selective disclosure only lets out the part that actually has to escape for the transfer to clear.

and DuskDS still gets a settled result out of that without making the ownership side suddenly copy Moonlight’s public surface.

the public DUSK payment doesn’t somehow infect the rest of the trade with publicity.

“one trade doesn’t need one visibility level.”

idk i think that was the mistake.

i kept treating transparency like something that spreads across the transaction.

maybe public was never a property of the whole trade in the first place.

Moonlight showed the payment. fine.

that still never meant XSC and Dusk Zedger had to show the holder with it.
