The volume of the third candlestick is 2.5 times that of the first—this is usually not a coincidence.

Over the past 8 hours, TAC has shown a very typical volume-price coordinated move. The first two candlesticks narrowed their volume and consolidated, with the price oscillating around 0.0033, looking fairly ordinary. Then the third candlestick suddenly expanded in volume—the trading value jumped straight to 6.8 billion, and the close moved up from 0.0035 to 0.0040. This one candlestick absorbed all the hesitation from the prior two.

After that, the trading volume on a few subsequent candlesticks declined somewhat, but the price didn’t pull back significantly, suggesting the incoming buying strength is there. The latest candlestick’s high touched 0.0051, and it has since retraced to around 0.0044. Compared with the low at 0.0024, that’s already nearly a 100% increase.

From the long/short ratio, longs are 53% versus shorts at 46%—the gap isn’t large. Both sides are still in a contest, and there hasn’t been any extreme one-sided domination. The funding rate is 0.0263%, which is at a fairly normal level, with no obvious overheating signals.

This combination of a “mild funding rate + coordinated volume and price” suggests the move may be driven more by spot buying demand, rather than by leverage in the futures market stacking up a bubble.

What to watch in the short term: after the pullback, whether that previous high at 0.0040 can become support. If it holds, there’s room for the second leg of the move to continue; if it drops back below 0.0033 immediately, then this round is very likely over.
