XRP is back in the spotlight, and this time the move is hard to ignore.
After spending much of August struggling around the $1 area, XRP suddenly came alive. The token has climbed roughly 45–48% in a week, reaching around $1.48 after falling as low as $0.9877 on August 17.
That is a huge comeback in just a few days.
But the big question now is simple: Can XRP keep going?
One reason behind the rally is the strength of the overall crypto market. Bitcoin and Ethereum also posted major weekly gains, helping confidence return across altcoins. Once the market started moving, XRP became one of the biggest large-cap winners.
There is also fresh institutional interest.
U.S. spot XRP ETFs have recently returned to positive flows. The funds recorded about $39.8 million in net inflows during the week ending August 21, their strongest week since May. Cumulative net inflows since launch have reached roughly $1.55 billion.
That matters because ETF demand can provide a different kind of buying pressure than short-term retail hype.
XRP also has another story developing in the background: Ripple's growing institutional ecosystem. Ripple has continued expanding the use of RLUSD, including initiatives designed around institutional credit and payments infrastructure.
But after such a fast rally, traders should not ignore the risks.
XRP has already faced selling pressure around $1.50, and today's pullback came after another rejection above that area. Futures activity is also heavily tilted toward leveraged trading, which can make price swings more aggressive in either direction.
This makes $1.50 an important level to watch.
If XRP can break above that area and hold it, buyers could gain confidence that the rally still has room to run. Some technical watchers are also focused on the $1.60–$1.65 region as the next bigger test.
If XRP keeps getting rejected, however, a period of consolidation would not be surprising. After gaining almost 50% in a week, some traders taking profits is completely normal.
The interesting part is that XRP is no longer sitting quietly near $1.
Momentum has returned. ETF flows have improved. The broader market has recovered. And XRP is once again becoming one of the most talked-about large-cap altcoins.
The next battle could decide everything.
Can XRP turn $1.50 into support and continue its comeback or was this explosive weekly rally simply too much, too fast?
Either way, XRP is back on the radar.
