🚀 SpaceX Enters a New Era: Starship Takes Over Starlink Launches
$SPACE X is preparing to end an era for Falcon 9 Starlink missions from Florida. According to SpaceX launch VP Kiko Dontchev, the recent launch from Launch Complex 40 was the final planned East Coast Falcon 9 mission dedicated to Starlink.
Going forward, SpaceX plans to use Starship for Starlink missions from Florida, while Falcon 9 launches will continue from Vandenberg on the U.S. West Coast.
Elon Musk has also said that phasing out the Falcon family—including Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy—is ultimately inevitable once Starship becomes reliable enough to fly multiple times per week.
The long-term goal is even more ambitious: Starship launches several times a day, dramatically increasing SpaceX’s launch capacity. 🚀🔥
Falcon 9 built the legacy. Starship is being built for the future.
