According to a report by Bloomberg, the fintech company Revolut has announced that it is joining the global stablecoin race and has officially launched a euro-pegged stablecoin, EURR. The stablecoin will initially be available to eligible customers in Denmark, Poland and Portugal. In its statement, Revolut said that EURR is the “first step” in its overall stablecoin strategy, and that it will later issue tokens pegged to other fiat currencies as well, aiming to bet on the core role of digital assets in cross-border payments and transactions between businesses.
