DJTB just went live on bStocks, and Binance has added another “collateral assets” announcement.
This time it’s not just about adding another trading pair: the official announcement states that $DJTB will, starting at 2026-08-26 12:00 UTC, be added as a bStocks eligible collateral asset for Cross Margin, Portfolio Margin, and Portfolio Margin Pro; the corresponding bStocks trading pair will also be opened for margin trading.
I think this incremental change is worth watching even more than the “listing” itself: if bStocks were only tradable, the focus would be on price; once it becomes part of the collateral system, the focus shifts to liquidity, valuation/discounting, eligibility, and risk control. This change suggests Binance is still pushing bStocks toward the direction of “usable assets,” not merely putting an RWA concept on display.
But don’t mistake this for blindly bullish. The announcement is also very clear: borrowing is not supported at present—it's only available as collateral; the feature is limited to VIP 3 and above, and for users in permitted regions; and bStocks are not direct holdings of US stocks—liquidity and regional restrictions must be considered carefully.
I’ll be more interested in two things going forward: the real trading volume after DJTB goes live, and whether bStocks will keep expanding its eligible list once it enters the collateral pool. Do you think this bStocks track is genuine RWA demand, or just short-term announcement hype?
