$TUT used 700,000 trades to push itself into the top ten gainers, while $KORUB lifted 11% with just 10,000 trades—which is more real?
There’s a detail on the gainers list that’s easy to overlook: the thing that rises the most isn’t necessarily the one that’s the most active.
At number ten, TUT is up 7.14%, closing at $0.04728. Over the past 24 hours it saw $33.5 million in volume and 700,000 trades—averaging only around $47 per trade. It’s all small, fragmented orders that nevertheless managed to nudge TUT bit by bit into the front ranks.
The fourth-place KORUB is even more explosive: up 11.17%, priced at $21.3. But throughout the day it only traded $2.8 million total volume and 9,900 trades—about $283 per trade on average. The move looks great, but it feels more like a handful of large orders propping it up.
The middle one, $ACE , is the compromise example: up 4.46%, with $12.4 million traded across 110,000 trades—about $111 per trade on average.
Same “up,” but the value is very different. Candlesticks cycle the “main characters” every 24 hours, and volume can’t fool anyone: 700,000 small trades means “a lot of people want to buy,” while 10,000 large trades means “a few people want to push it.” The momentum built by the former—crowd-driven demand—often holds up better when you look at it a couple more times.

A pump can manufacture a candlestick, but only when a bunch of people gather together can you accumulate something truly substantial. The boss of Silicon Valley’s “Dogecoin,” a little doggy—he’s betting on that kind of excitement too.
