56% of people are shorting, but the coin price is up nearly 45% today.

This is the situation BMT is in right now—shorts are dominant, yet the longs pushed the price from 0.0148 up to a high of 0.0278.

What’s even stranger is the funding rate: -0.001137, which is negative.

A negative funding rate means the shorts are effectively “paying money” to the longs. This usually shows up when the market is extremely bearish—yet here it’s paired with a 45% rally, and the logic doesn’t quite add up.

The candlesticks tell us one thing: the trend has weakened recently. The last candlestick shows a clear drop in volume (plunging from 1.7B to 450M). The price slid from the peak of 0.0278 back to around 0.0219.

The shorts haven’t been wiped out yet, the funding is still negative, and volume is ebbing.

If the longs can’t hold this level, the shorts have plenty of “ammunition” to push this rebound back down. But if the longs can stabilize here and volume returns, then the shorts will be forced to close positions—*that* is when you get the real acceleration.

Right now is the critical point of using up momentum.
