I started digging into Dusk expecting to find the usual privacy-chain activity.
What stood out was the mismatch: the network shows 236 transactions in 24h, yet the explorer lists only 8 contract calls and 68 active addresses.
Then the bigger detail appeared: about 207M DUSK is actively staked, while roughly 355.5M DUSK is bridge-locked. That leaves only about 4.7M as liquid supply by the explorer’s estimate.
My inference: a lot of the visible network activity may be infrastructure, staking, and asset movement rather than organic DeFi usage. That changes how I read the headline transaction count.
So where is the real economic demand sitting — actual applications, or simply locked capital moving around the network?
