Reuters report:
Tesla recalls 2.98 million vehicles (about seven-tenths of the national total of 4.3 million recalls). This figure is 11.2 times Tesla China’s retail deliveries for the first seven months of this year (266,000 units).
The reason for the recall is: after an accident, the emergency door-opening device is hard to find, and there are gaps in driver monitoring. The “fix” involves applying labels and using OTA updates.
