The reason is simple: the funding rate is only 0.007%, the market’s longs and shorts are almost balanced—there’s no sign of that crazy one-sided sentiment. In situations like this, it’s actually safer: when it drops, the longs haven’t been fully shaken out, and when it rises, the bears aren’t likely to get over-liquidated too much.
I’m waiting to go long at 77851 after it stabilizes, once $BTC holds steady there. My initial target is 80,000, and my stop-loss is at 77,500. The 80,000 level is crucial—last night price was driven down from there. If it can hold 80,000, then the previous high at 81,272 may not be out of reach.
But do note: today’s trading volume is 1.92B, which isn’t small. The long-vs-short battle is quite intense—don’t chase or sell in a panic; you could easily get swept back and forth.
STORJ and HOME have funding rates so deeply negative that the shorts are heavily trapped, which suggests these two altcoins may have a rebound opportunity. But altcoins are too volatile—I’ll pass for now.
