#dusk $DUSK @Dusk This morning I decided to dig into the staking economics of Dusk Network. Most L1 protocols give one answer to the question "how to earn rewards?" — just lock your tokens and get inflationary income. But Dusk ties validator rewards to the actual utility of the network, not just the amount of frozen coins.

I like this architecture: it honestly incentivizes not just "holding," but active participation in consensus and transaction validation. This matters because in an era where staking has become nothing more than an "inflation trap," Dusk is trying to bring meaning back to the process. But I also think this model requires validators to have serious technical power and constant online activity, which cuts off smaller participants.

Reflecting on this, I asked myself: are we ready for staking to stop being "passive income" and turn into a full-fledged job with responsibilities? Or will the market choose simpler solutions where the protocol does everything for you, and you just collect percentages without digging into the details?
