8.26 Gold rebounds from a bottoming, with gold and silver still in a low-stalemate mode

Yesterday, gold first surged higher to test the upper range, then saw a round of deep pullback. During the session, it dipped to around 4605 where it found support. Afterwards, it launched a corrective rebound; after the low was confirmed, prices moved higher in a choppy upward trend, gradually reclaiming most of the losses. In the evening, it returned to a consolidation range around 4670. Longs and shorts battled more fiercely, forming a typical “probe and rebound from the lows” structure. The close held at a high level.

On the 4-hour timeframe: after the bottoming and repair, the market is tilted toward consolidation with a slight bullish bias in the short term. However, there is nearby resistance overhead, so chasing upside directly carries a higher risk. The preferred trade idea is to wait for a pullback to confirm support before positioning; if it breaks above the resistance area near 4700 directly, then consider following the move. In the evening, key focus is on the core PCE data. The data may break the current consolidation pattern, so risk control is essential.

Trading suggestion: 4620-4640 low tone. Stop loss: below 4610. Targets: 4680-4700.
