Commonwealth Fusion Systems has raised around $4 billion to advance commercialization of fusion energy, according to Bloomberg. The company said the amount is about 30% of all capital raised by the fusion industry to date.

Chief Executive Officer Bob Mumgaard said on Bloomberg Businessweek that the goal is to build a machine that can drive the reaction at very vigorous amounts of energy at industrial scale.
