According to news from CoinWorld, ME News reports that on February 3rd (UTC+8), Y Combinator (YC), the most well-known startup accelerator in Silicon Valley, will allow startups to raise funds in stablecoin, marking the first time the organization offers this option to founders. YC's partner focused on the crypto sector, Nemil Dalal, revealed that starting from the Spring 2026 batch, any startup receiving YC investment—not limited to crypto-native or crypto-related companies—can choose stablecoin payments. Dalal stated that YC will provide USDC financing through major blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Base, and Solana. YC noted that this move comes as stablecoins reach a so-called 'regulatory tipping point' following the passage of the GENIUS Act in the U.S. YC also believes that stablecoin transfers are faster and cheaper compared to traditional fiat channels, making them particularly suitable for founders operating across borders.
