Metaplanet has just moved $80 million worth of BTC. The Bitcoin treasury giant previously transferred about $79.77 million worth of about 1,000 $BTC to Coinbase Prime roughly 9 hours ago.
So far, the company has collected 43,000 BTC with an average purchase price of around $96,191; this latest transfer represents roughly 2.3% of its total reserves.
But there’s an important point: depositing to Coinbase Prime does not automatically mean that #metaplanet is selling. Prime also offers institutional custody and financing services, so this could simply be an action related to holding reserves or treasury management.
Still, transferring 1,000 #BTC in one go will definitely draw market attention. There hasn’t been an confirmed sale yet… just a very large BTC transfer.
