Circle This time, in one day on Solana, about 1 billion USDC was minted—don’t rush to think it’s a straightforward one-way positive.
This is more like “ammunition resupply.”
Issuing more USDC doesn’t mean all the money has already flooded into the market; in many cases, it’s just setting up stablecoin reserves first, leaving room for trading, on-chain activity, and minting/redemption.
That said, being able to top up this much at once at least suggests that demand on Solana hasn’t cooled.
I just finished a shower and came out to check the charts—BeanBean was sprawled by the router looking completely calm, while I couldn’t quite keep it together 😂
Because with this kind of news at its current position, the vibe is different.
The $BTC spot is still hovering around $78,866. The 24-hour high touched $81,272 but got pushed back down again—meaning there are definitely sellers up there.
What makes me even less comfortable is that the futures contract volume is 9.2 times the spot.
This kind of market action can easily turn into: “the news is hot, but the price is acting weird.” Everyone’s using leverage to guess the direction, and it’s exhausting to watch.
So my stance is very clear: I don’t want to be bearish on the activity in the Solana ecosystem, but I also don’t want to chase risk assets just because of these 1 billion USDC.
This feels more like liquidity warming up, not like a starting pistol that’s about to fire.
If I were to act, I’d actually lean toward waiting and watching the $BTC acceptance/holding, and only consider it once it can stand firm around the 80k area—otherwise it’s easy to get whipped back and forth.
The market can turn on you faster than turning a page—keep some position size reserved.$BTC #BTC
