Data from The Block shows that Bitcoin futures trading volume (in US dollars) on cryptocurrency exchanges has risen for the fourth consecutive month. As of now, the cumulative trading volume in March has reached 1.18 trillion US dollars, close to the high of 1.2 trillion US dollars set in July 2022.
It is worth noting that the Bitcoin futures trading volume on cryptocurrency exchanges hit a new high of US$2.69 trillion in May 2021, and then continued to decline. Even when BTC reached an all-time high of US$69,000 six months later, the Bitcoin futures trading volume on the exchange did not hit a new high, reaching only US$1.59 trillion.
