Was looking at supply tonight and noticed something I had not registered before.
I mean the initial allocation had a vesting schedule covering team and advisors and the development portion and the rest. That vesting period has concluded according to the docs.
So the unlock overhang people worry about with newer projects is behind this one rather than ahead of it.
That is a genuinely different position to be in. A lot of chains launched recently are still working through years of scheduled unlocks and every one of those dates sits on the calendar as a known event.
Here the supply structure going forward is emissions plus fees rather than emissions plus unlocks.
My caveat is that this cuts both ways and I should say so. Vesting being over also means the alignment mechanism it provided is over. Nobody is locked in by schedule anymore.
Go read the tokenomics page rather than taking my word for the details ๐Ÿš€
