IT Home reported on August 25 that Nintendo officially announced today (the 25th) that the (Mario Kart World) Switch 2 bundle will be back again, but this time the price is higher.

Nintendo will launch two new Switch 2 game bundle sets in September, paired respectively with (Mario Kart World) and (Switch Sports Resort). Both bundles are affected by the recent price increases.

Switch 2 was released in June 2025. The standalone unit price was $449.99 (IT Home note: approximately 3,032 yuan RMB at the then exchange rate). At the time, the (Mario Kart World) bundle package was priced at $499.99 (IT Home note: approximately 3,369 yuan RMB at the then exchange rate).

Starting September 1, the Switch 2 standalone model will be priced at $499.99. The re-released (Mario Kart World) bundle will be sold for $549.99 (equivalent to about 3,706 yuan RMB at the current exchange rate), and includes a 90-day Switch Online membership redemption code.

The new bundle is $50 more expensive than when it was launched more than a year ago (equivalent to about 336.9 yuan RMB at the current exchange rate). The 90-day Switch Online membership is priced separately at $7.99 (equivalent to about 53.8 yuan RMB), so after subtracting the membership value, the bundle itself has effectively increased by about $42 (equivalent to about 283 yuan RMB).

Nintendo will also release a Switch 2 (Switch Sports Resort) bundle, priced at $529.99 (equivalent to about 3,571 yuan RMB), and it similarly includes a 90-day Switch Online membership. The digital version of this game is priced separately at $49.99 (equivalent to about 336.9 yuan RMB).

Both bundles will also be released in the UK and Europe, but the local sales won’t be for a Switch 2 version whose batteries can be replaced by users themselves.

Nintendo also announced last month that (Mario Kart World) will add new survival mode content in subsequent free updates.
