The night session is already open. BTC is standing at 79,400, and today’s market is a life-or-death riddle.

In the daytime, price briefly climbed to 81,273, looking like it might break out—yet near the close it was pushed back to around the day’s low near 78,100. This isn’t a tug-of-war between bulls and bears; it’s the main players flushing the market—driving aggressive longs out, then luring fearful shorts in.

━━━ Key levels left by the European session ━━━

Around 81,500 is today’s high resistance zone. It was tested twice in the European session without success, and then in the US session it was suppressed with heavy volume. In the short term, this is the ceiling—only a breakout would constitute a real change.

78,000–78,500 is today’s low-support band. It has been tapped multiple times and not broken. There is real buying interest here. If the night session tests it again, holding it would be a bottoming signal; breaking below it would require a fresh reassessment.

ETH is roughly in sync at 2,481, but it’s relatively weaker. The range between its high and low is narrower than BTC’s, suggesting that capital hasn’t truly spread out—it’s still a BTC-led market.

━━━ Risk points to watch in the night session ━━━

Today’s funding rate is only 0.01%, which is normal and on the low side. This means leverage on the long side isn’t heavy. But it also means the rally lacks fuel—there’s no forced-liquidation pressure to drive upside.

In the last week before the Federal Reserve’s September meeting, any macro news could become the spark. On Wednesday there’s US durable goods orders data. If it comes in above expectations, the US dollar may strengthen, and BTC could face pressure in the night session.

Declining trading volume is tonight’s biggest risk. Today’s BTC futures volume is clearly lower than yesterday’s. Low-volume conditions make the market easiest to “poke” both ways—two-sided.

━━━ What to do in the night session ━━━

If you have long positions: 78,000 is the hard stop-loss line. If it breaks, take the loss—don’t hold on.

If you have no position: wait. Don’t wait for price—wait for an expansion in trading volume before following.

I’ve seen too many people make the worst decision of the week during a night session with low trading activity.

The best trade tonight might be—none.
