According to a report by The Information, LayerZero plans to launch ATLAS, a crypto exchange for institutional users, in the autumn of 2026, and will not offer a consumer-facing C-end application.
ATLAS will be built on the Zero blockchain. In its initial launch, it will support trading of crypto spot assets and perpetual contracts. Later, it plans to gradually expand to other product categories such as prediction contracts, futures, and options. LayerZero claims that on the very first day of ATLAS’s launch, top-tier global market makers will provide liquidity for the platform.
After this news broke, $ZRO surged by more than 10% in a short period of time, and the market reacted positively to LayerZero’s new move. Unlike existing exchanges that target retail users, this one directly enters the institutional track. Whether it can bring new changes to the industry’s landscape is worth continued attention.
