38.4%!TAC is going absolutely wild today. That #1 on the gainers list—I can’t even keep my eyes steady.
I just finished checking the K-line chart, and honestly I didn’t expect this altcoin “sham” rally to be this strong. BTC is holding steady around 79K like a statue, while ETH is actually dipping slightly. Clearly, funds are flowing into the alts. To be real, this is exactly when “demonic coins” are most likely to pop up—but it’s also when you’re most likely to get trapped. Look at the losers list: VELVET is already down -36%, and TUT is down -28%. Heaven and hell are one thought away.
Let’s talk about TAC first. I’d already glanced at this coin before, but I didn’t get in (yeah, I’m still jealous). It’s at 0.0023 now; in the last 24 hours it jumped straight from 0.00161 to 0.002787, and it’s currently pulling back to about the 62% mark of the move. Volume is up 1.6x—this suggests the pump has real money behind it, not one of those fake pumps on low volume.
Trade idea (short-term): If the pullback to around 0.002022 holds, you can consider a long. Stop loss at 0.0019, first target 0.002736. That works out to an RR of about 1:3, so the risk-reward is decent. But the invalidation is very clear: if it breaks below 0.002022 on increased volume and can’t reclaim it, then this rally is a one-off—don’t keep fighting it. Funding rate data for TAC isn’t provided, but given the volume, short-term sentiment still looks hot.
Next, ONG—#2 on the gainers list, up +36.53%. I’ve got a say on this one. Last week I was already watching it—back then it was just stalling around 0.07. Today it launched straight up to 0.1042, and now it’s at 0.0986. It’s about 5% below the 24h high, but it’s already at around 85% of the range. Volume is up 2.4x—this is even stronger than TAC, which suggests big money is really causing the commotion.
Bullish idea (mid-term): If it breaks above 0.1042 and holds, upside opens up—first target 0.115, stop loss 0.09, RR around 1:1.7. But if it spikes and then closes back down with a long upper wick, be careful—chasing at this position often gets you stuck. Funding rate is 0.0046%, still within a normal range with no overheating signs, which is relatively healthy. That said, chasing at the 85% spot doesn’t feel great on risk-reward. I’d rather wait for a pullback to around 0.08347 before considering entry.
Finally, the lobster—+16.91%, third place. The name is hilariously weird but also reasonable. At 0.0273, it’s just a little under the 24h high of 0.02781—about the 92% point—but volume is only 1.0x average volume, with no breakout-volume confirmation. This low-volume breakout higher makes me a bit uneasy. It’s likely being lifted by follow-the-leader flow, and the sustainability is questionable. If you already hold a position, you can watch whether it can break above 0.02781 on the short-term. If you don’t have a position, I wouldn’t chase here—wait for a pullback to around 0.02532 instead.
As for the broader market: Fear & Greed Index is 50, right at Neutral. BTC is up 23.8% week-over-week, and ETH is even up 31%. In this backdrop, alts following along is normal—but it also means sentiment has shifted from extreme fear to a neutral zone. To keep pushing higher, the market will need new catalysts.
Personally, I think under current sentiment it’s more suitable to wait for a pullback rather than chase. Especially for coins that have already risen 30%+—the risk-reward just isn’t worth it. The last time I took a big loss was because I chased a coin that had already pumped 40%; the very next day it was cut in half. (So much for that.) Waiting for a retest of key support before entering feels a lot better than chasing.
One last thing: on the hot search list there are new faces like Pons and Zano, but high hype doesn’t necessarily mean it will go up. Ironically, it might be the coins on the losers list—VELVET and TUT—that have the potential for a short-term oversold bounce. But “catching falling knives” is something I never do. Wait for signs of stabilization.
