8.25 Gold Evening View

Treasury yields are under pressure, the US dollar remains relatively weak, and on top of the central bank’s continuous gold purchases—along with uncertainties in the geopolitical landscape—gold prices have strong medium- to long-term support.

The market is now waiting for remarks at the Jackson Hole conference, which is the key market variable for this week. If policymakers sound more dovish, gold could continue to push higher; if the tone is more cautious, prices at higher levels are more likely to see a rapid pullback. Ahead of the news, choppy trading and stop-hunts are more frequent. In the evening, it’s better to refuse aggressive chasing and mainly look for opportunities within the range.

On the 4-hour chart, gold has been oscillating repeatedly in the high zone. While making new highs, indicators show divergence, and the pullbacks are frequent. Don’t chase new highs; instead, wait for a pullback to stabilize or a sign of rejection when price rallies before entering.
