Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said on Tuesday that Iran and Pakistan discussed the possibility of restoring a temporary ceasefire agreement between Tehran and Washington.
Naqvi noted that "tangible progress" was achieved following a meeting with Iranian officials, which was "concluded very positively." The Pakistan Army reported that the meeting focused on preventing escalation of the war, as well as reopening the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic, which has fallen to very low levels. Al Jazeera reported that only one cargo vessel crossed the strait on Monday, the lowest level of daily traffic since 07/05.
