According to Sina Finance, Shell's U.S. chemical business has received multiple non-binding indications of interest, with potential buyers including Exxon Mobil, LyondellBasell, Apollo Global Management, and the chemicals arm of Kuwait Petroleum Corp.

The assets could fetch as much as $8 billion in a sale that may include either a full divestment or a breakup sale. The transaction is not guaranteed to close, and Shell declined to comment on the sale rumors.
