Solana has just completed its first block time reduction since launch, and network transaction speed has clearly improved. In my view, this is not just a small tweak to technical specifications—it’s more like $SOL is continuously proving it isn’t a blockchain that only tells stories. However, my judgment is that performance upgrades do not automatically translate into price increases. What truly matters is whether on-chain activity and ecosystem projects can keep up. These days, the market’s technical narrative around Layer 1 has been somewhat “de-sensitized”; people care more about whether capital has flowed in and whether developers have stuck around. So this positive news may only provide a minor emotional boost in the short term. For SOL to truly break out of an independent market trend, it will still need more real data to support it.
