New York AI startup General Intuition is reportedly in talks to raise funding at a $6 billion pre-money valuation, with new investors including Valor Equity Partners, Point72 Ventures, and Seven Seven Six. According to ChainCatcher, existing investors Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst are also participating in the round.
The company is building foundation models to train general AI agents to move through space and time. The financing comes only weeks after General Intuition completed a $320 million funding round at a $2.3 billion valuation. CEO Pim de Witte spun the company out of video game clip-sharing platform Medal in October last year, using hundreds of millions of hours of game data and player action records as initial training data. The company has become one of the most closely watched startups in physical AI.
