Dividends, voting and shareholder decisions are easy to forget when the conversation around tokenized securities is mostly about issuance and trading.
Ownership does not stop once a security reaches a wallet. Investors can still receive distributions, vote on company decisions or take part in other corporate actions, and all of those processes need to reach the right people without turning their financial information into public data.
A public ledger is very good at showing that something happened. The harder question is how much information needs to be revealed for everyone to verify it.
That is where selective disclosure starts becoming useful. An application could prove that the required investor qualified for a particular action without making every underlying identity detail visible to the entire network.
I think this is one of the areas where tokenized securities still have a lot of unfinished infrastructure around them. Issuing the asset is only the beginning. The boring things that happen afterward are what make it behave like a real security.
I’d like to see Dusk explore more of those shareholder workflows rather than focusing only on getting assets onto the chain.
Which would matter more for you in a tokenized security: private transactions or private ownership records?
