Analyst Credible Crypto said that Ethereum (ETH) could reach $20,000 within the next few years.

He bases his opinion on the price range in which Ethereum has been trading for roughly the past five years (about $1,500 to $5,000), as well as its relatively weak performance compared to Bitcoin, and the possibility of a rotation toward higher-risk assets.

### Breaking the five-month range

The analyst on the No Bs Crypto podcast explained that Ethereum has been trading for about five years within a broad range between roughly $1,500 and $5,000, and it has touched both ends multiple times. He considers this a high-timeframe range.

While Bitcoin is trading above its 2021 peak, Ethereum is still lagging. According to him, the ETH/BTC ratio has reached levels that would allow Ethereum to catch up to Bitcoin.

Its primary target is $10,000 (doubling the previous peak near $5,000). However, the larger expansion in the range could push it to $8,000 or $9,000 before accounting for other factors.

The goal of $20,000 depends largely on the price of Bitcoin:

- If Bitcoin is around $80,000 (close to its current level) and the ETH/BTC ratio has regained its previous peak at 0.156, then Ethereum will surpass $12,000.

- In a more optimistic scenario, with Bitcoin at $100,000 → Ethereum above $15,000.

- In the most realistic scenario in his view (breaking the previous Bitcoin top at $126,000 and trading above it) → Ethereum at $20,000 or higher.

He also noted that Ethereum carries higher risks than Bitcoin, giving it room to deliver bigger returns during the next bull cycle. But its technical outlook depends on defending the higher-timeframe bottom near $1,388. Breaking that level would invalidate the bullish structure. He estimates the odds of Ethereum not returning under $1,900 at around 90%, and considers a drop below $1,500 increasingly unlikely.

### Altcoins may follow Ethereum higher

Ethereum is currently trading above $2,400 (up about 3.5% over the past 24 hours and around 30% over the week, and more than 32% over the month), but it is still about 50% below its all-time high.

Some altcoins started moving faster; their sector added about $215 billion between August 19 and 22, bringing their total market value to over $1 trillion.

Credible Crypto believes that some assets with stronger fundamentals could outperform Ethereum if the cycle continues, delivering much higher returns (30, 40, or 50 times from their current levels) if Ethereum reaches $20,000 as expected.@Binance Square Official $ETH
