ZRO has surged 55% in 7 days, hitting 1.2968 but failing to hold. Now it’s back at 1.167, down 3.8% over the past 24 hours. On the surface, it looks like a spike and then a pullback—but the real contradiction is this: while price is falling, the futures are still piling higher.
Look at spot real money: in the last ~3 hours there was a net outflow of $3.48 million. None of the 12 funding candles is positive—every one is red. Large orders have also been net selling over the past ~15 minutes. This 55% move was lifted by futures and leverage; spot has been withdrawing since the day it peaked.
Deleveraging is happening on-chain at the same time: margin lending dropped 89% in 12 hours. RSI 80.6 and MFI 89.3 are both extremely overbought. ATR also signals volatility is expanding. This kind of pattern is most prone to being pushed to a top, then grinding down afterward. The news flow is also bearish: KOLs are loudly calling for longs, but the messaging provides zero “life support” for continuation.
Futures aren’t unwinding along with spot: OI is still up +2.6%. Whale long positions make up 75% and are still being thickened. This is not proof of confidence—it’s merely trapped longs that haven’t gotten out, hard-carrying. Spot goes first, then leverage goes, and the last one to be called is a mass liquidation of longs.
I’m short. If it later comes back and regains 1.28 on volume, and if spot funding turns positive with sustained inflows—then it means the money is back, and I’ll close my short to cut losses. #zro $ZRO
