According to a statement, the European Commission has approved a new 6.1 billion euro defense procurement for Ukraine, covering air defense and missile defense systems, missiles, ammunition, and radar. The funding is part of a 90 billion euro Ukraine aid loan. Earlier, 16 billion euros in procurement plans had already been approved, of which 8.35 billion euros has been allocated. Most of the purchases will be products from EU defense companies.
