SoftBank Group (TYO:9984) on Monday announced plans to raise 1 trillion yen ($6.30 billion) by selling notes to individuals, in the largest offering of this kind carried out by a Japanese issuer, as part of the group’s effort to fund its growing investment obligations to OpenAI.

The seven-year notes are expected to be priced on 09/04/2025, with an indicative coupon ranging from 4.30% to 4.90%, according to a document filed by the company on Monday.

Shares of SoftBank listed in Tokyo fell 2.60% to 5,118.00 yen by 4:11 a.m.
