📰 Bounty Watch · Morning News · 08-24 Monday

Major coins are mixed today. BTC is up 0.30% to $77,259, while ETH is up 0.80% to $2,436. However, SOL is down 1.70% to $94.08, and the overall market remains weak and range-bound.

What’s most interesting today is the volatility in smaller-cap coins. MORPHO surged 19.0% to $2.71 and LIT jumped 14.9% to $3.64. Both have made the trending search list, suggesting that capital is digging into low-market-cap targets. CASHCAT is even more outrageous—its price rocketed 24.3% in 24 hours to $0.1495. Once these meme/shitcoins get going, they’re easy to become “bag-holder killers,” so retail investors should be careful about chasing price. On the other hand, there are also sell-offs on the losers list: B is down 9.8% and BTW is down 7.5%, indicating the market is readjusting its asset allocation.

Other notable points:

DRV is up 21.6% in 24 hours to $0.1392. Trading volume is there, but it needs monitoring to see whether the move can continue.

GRASS is up 14.4% to $0.3466. It ranks on the trending search list as well. Short-term follow-through is possible, but the risk remains high.

Bitget CEO said that Bitcoin may be around year-end at or near its current price. This suggests institutions are not particularly optimistic about the outlook, which could act as a factor weighing on large-cap coins.
