$BTC A week saw a surge of over 20%, peaking at nearly 79,000; it has since pulled back to around 77,000 and is consolidating.
Treasury repo buy-ins increased + ETF inflows continued + regulatory expectations (the CLARITY Act) worked together to squeeze the shorts. It’s clearly profit-taking by short-term funds—midway, there was a sharp spike that pierced the needle, delivering a double blow to both longs and shorts. Exchange inflows have increased, but long-term holders have basically not moved.
This rebound is stronger than expected. The daily chart structure has already turned bullish. In the near term, it may first digest in the 75,000–78,000 range. Once it holds above 77,000, the next target looks toward 80,000.
My personal approach: I’ll keep the positions that were already built at lower levels. For the short-term, I trimmed part of the position at the high end, and I’ll consider adding again if there’s a pullback.
Everyone—are you staying bullish now, or do you think it should pull back first? Drop your views in the comments.
