At 3 a.m., a surge of a long bullish candle fully woke me up.
Recently, many people have shifted from swing trading to short-term trading for the same reason:
There’s less money, and you can get your capital back faster.
But in the end, it often turns into ever-higher trading fees, thinner and thinner positions, and increasingly frantic emotions.
I’m not that I can’t do short-term trading—I just understand its threshold too well.
Real short-term trading isn’t about a few indicators or a momentary feel. It’s about judging, in countless similar moments, when you should strike and when you must stop.
When more and more people start relying on high-frequency trading, it usually means the market lacks confidence in the long-term direction.
Capital begins chasing shorter and shorter fluctuations, and sector rotation will become even more severe.
So I’m more willing to wait now:
$BTC stabilizes → trend-following funds return → altcoins show real resonance.
Not to “get back the money fast” by continuously increasing the number of trades.
Having less money isn’t a reason that you must do short-term trading.
What truly grows your principal has never been frequent entries—it’s cognition and discipline.
Survive first. Then talk about returns.
