$GRVT This drop has something to it.

In 15 minutes, it got smashed by nearly 2 percentage points. Trading volume surged to 14x, and the close even broke below the lower bound of the past 20 five-minute candlestick range. Aggressive sell pressure is obvious, the buy-sell ratio is 0.88, and the bears are gaining strength.

But underneath, it’s actually closer to longs deleveraging. OI is contracting: the 15-minute contract positions fell by 0.78%, and the 1-hour positions dropped by 1.72%. The total notional change is around -280K. This doesn’t look like fresh shorts moving in to hammer the price—it’s more like longs can’t hold up anymore, stops are getting hit, and positions are being passively reduced.

Price falling together with OI decreasing—this kind of structure often means leverage is getting cleared. GRVT is currently in its own historical extreme range: the abnormality level ranks 4th among the whole pool. Depth confirms it as well: abnormal volume and touches of the boundary.

The 15-minute volatility Z is 4.65. At this spot, either it accelerates to test the lows, or it’s the last shakeout before dawn. Anyway, don’t chase shorts—wait for confirmation before deciding.
