I just watched SPK’s candlesticks for a while—it’s kind of interesting.
Today it’s up nearly 32%, with the low going straight from 0.0168 to 0.0239. No matter which market you look at, that kind of move is wild.
But what caught my attention isn’t the increase itself—it's the funding rate.
Usually when a coin surges 30%+ in a short time, the derivatives market gets flooded with people going long, and the funding rate gets pushed very high, meaning “everyone is adding leverage and betting on the rise.”
Right now, SPK’s funding rate is only 0.005%, almost zero.
The long/short ratio is also basically split down the middle: 50.9% long vs 49.1% short.
This suggests that this rally is driven more by spot buying rather than leverage stacking. If leverage hasn’t gotten overheated, there’s no such risk structure where, once there’s a pullback, a chain reaction liquidation cascade (“trampling explosions”) gets triggered.
Of course, a 32% daily gain is itself a high-volatility signal—be careful about chasing. Above, there aren’t many historical high-activity zones left to provide support.
If you don’t have a position, this isn’t a great time to chase. If you already hold some, you can watch whether there’s buying support in the 0.021–0.022 pullback range.
