On Binance spot, SPKUSDT 24h +26.2%, with about 12.2M U in volume. The 24h high/low is roughly 0.01685 to 0.02400. Looking at the 15m chart: it’s not that a single opening wick disappeared—rather, it was ground up steadily from around 0.01685 all the way to 0.02399, and then the price pulled back to around 0.02277 near the highs.
My take: this looks more like low-priced altcoins grabbing attention while BTC is trading sideways. Volume picked up, which suggests people are watching; but the pullback at the end is also very obvious—chasing the top would probably feel pretty uncomfortable.
For coins like this, I only treat them as a “sentiment temperature gauge”: bigger volume is a fact, but whether it can stay on the board is what really matters. With big volatility and fast retracements, don’t treat the gainers list as a safety cushion.
