For the past few days, BTC and ETH have been like dead water—volatility hasn’t moved more than 1%, though trading volume hasn’t dropped either. Old hands know that this kind of “playing dead” usually doesn’t last too long—either it’s building up energy or waiting for a certain signal.
But look at the altcoin side: AAVE is up 12% in a day, ZRO surged 23%, and TUT jumped more than 50%. Clearly, money is moving into higher-beta coins.
My take: big funds are quietly rotating their positions. Before BTC’s direction becomes clear, they’re first taking positions in altcoins. This isn’t some shocking discovery—every year, this pattern shows up a few times.
In plain terms, we’re in the stage of “the elephant doesn’t move, but the monkeys jump first.” Don’t rush—once the main trend line shows up, it’ll be no late to follow.
