Dusk is built as a Layer-1 specifically for regulated financial markets — combining programmable privacy with real compliance tools.
What stood out to me is how they solved the classic privacy vs. transparency problem: Moonlight for public transactions and Phoenix for shielded ones, plus selective disclosure so authorized parties can still review what’s needed.
The Succinct Attestation consensus for near-instant deterministic finality feels purpose-built for settlement, and the move toward DuskEVM with confidential workflows (via Hedger) makes it much easier for institutions and builders to actually use. Native issuance of RWAs, partnerships with EU-licensed players like NPEX, and the overall focus on bringing real markets on-chain without exposing sensitive data — this is the kind of infrastructure I find genuinely interesting.
